Marketing Management Society members will be joining the 70,000+ users who have walked, ran, or biked 800,000 for charitable causes.

Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on Friday, November 8th, and has so far been responsible for the destruction of 80,000 homes and the loss of 2,275 lives.

Americans are estimated to donate $1 billion to the relief effort. Among these charitable Americans will be a group of eager Rutgers Business School students running in the Marketing Management Society Charity Miles “Turkey Trot” 5K.

Lifeway Foods has offered a $20,000 matching incentive to the World Food Programme through Charity Miles. This means that for every mile a Charity Miles user runs for any charity, Lifeway will donate an additional $0.25 to the World Food Programme for their Philippine relief efforts. Lifeway’s giving campaign will last from November 12th to December 17th. This is the second Charity Miles 5K for MMS this semester.
