MMS Members took to the streets of Hoboken, NJ in efforts to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Not only were we surprised to arrive and see HUNDREDS of other athletes running around, but it happened to be the day of the City Challenge Event!–We discovered this was an annual event for local Crossfit Gyms to come and show what they’re made of in a 3.5 Mile obstacle course.
5 Of us and 1 Dog in tow, we ran, and walked, and jogged, and ran some more, all to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project through our Charity Miles App! If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, DO IT! (It’s the simplest, most convenient way to raise money for charities and it can be super fun too!) After we scoped out the obstacle course and enjoyed the scenery of NYC, we met up and grabbed a bite to eat at Biggies Clam bar.
All in all it was a great initiative and the weather was perfect! We hope to plan another Charity Miles 5K Event in November aka. the MMS Turkey Trot, so stay tuned! We want you to lace up your tennis shoes, throw on some neon and come out to support a “Feeding America”!
